Intentional camera movement can be magical.
Othwerise known as ICM, intentional camera movement is a way to capture unique other-wordly abstract images of scenes we find in nature.
Simply put, instead of holding the camera still, you flail it around while you hold the shutter button down so others around you wonder what in the world you are doing. If only they knew ;-)
The result: Instead of the camera capturing the finest details, it merges patterns and lines together to create a picture that looks more like a painting than a photograph.
I've been fascinated by ICM since I first began creating art, and in fact, I started my art career with this technique and then slowly began to use the camera the way it was originally intended.
I'm curious by people's reactions to these kinds of images. For some reason, they really speak to me. Do they speak to you?
