The art in your home or office reflects who you are, what appeals to you, and truly, what your personal brand is.

Before my obsession with creating art, I spent my entire professional career in marketing.  No matter the marketing channel, one thing always was imperative and stood at the forefront--the branding.

  • What is the first impression you make?
  • What is the flavor of your product?
  • What is the language or voice you use?

Think of the branding giants like Apple, Nike, and Coca-Cola.  Each leaves you with a feeling.

Those vibes you get were heavily influenced by how their marketing folks used imagery and art to share their message.

From everything to their logo, their packaging, and to their commercials, each image is carefully crafted to exude a feeling of what they stand for. [Picture courtesy of theinspirationroom.com]

When I began helping my clients with artwork, it became crystal clear that I was actually still just doing the same thing - helping my clients create and promote their own personal brand.

Of course, what makes it quite convenient these days inside the art realm is that the process is much more natural and fast.  When you see an image, it either strikes you (in a good or bad way) or it leaves you bored.

Let me be clear:

You owe it to yourself to be more than a boring brand.

Art can create a conversation, but it can also tell others a lot about you before the friendly greeting and handshake.  Art can also be used to enhance your business brand or logo.

We are a visual society and we judge books by their covers.  It's just the way it is.

When someone walks into your business, what is their first impression?

Does the art reflect your brand?

When someone walks into your house, what is their first feeling?

Does it reflect what you want them to feel in your home?

Ultimately, what defines you?  Does your art reveal it?
