I was digging through a pile of leaves as peopled walked by in the park.  I probably deserved the strange looks.

Nothing here to see folks, just a grown man frolicking in the leaves.

My mission was to find the leaves that had the most personality.

I’ve often marveled at leaves even back when I was a child collecting them for third grade art projects.  It’s just so interesting how trees shed these intricate fingerprints every year.

Finally, it was time to start digging and collecting them like the fine fossils, artifacts, and gemstones they truly are.

I was drawn first to colors and variations, not to mention fine details tattooed in their skins.  I had an ultimate plan to showcase these treasures the way they should be.  After spending hours finding the ones that drew me in most, I then shot hundreds of images in hopes of creating artworks that would make these leaves come alive and be resurrected from the ground.

I added artistic elements to give them even more personality.

I then applied them to maple wood to add warm and yet another extra dimension to the artwork in this meeting room.
