The idea of standing on a cliff during a wind advisory might sound a little crazy, but in my obsessed mind, the moment must be seized under any circumstance.

Not to worry, sporting my new ultra-grip boots and my windbreaker jacket, I was ready for the challenge.

I pulled my hood over my face and tied it and looked a bit ridiculous, but it seemed I was the only one prepared to challenge the cliff.

On this particular day before sunset, the wind was extraordinary.  The waves were powerful and fast, spraying fine mist everywhere as I attempted to capture this amazing ocean scene.

Lens wipe after lens wipe, my camera (and my face) was battered with the cold water droplets as the sea pounded against the shores.

The sun played a game of peek-a-boo using the clouds which led to a variation of images.

One of my favorite shots was this particular cliff that stretched itself out further into the turbulence. I did not go out there, but I did witness someone who did and was drenched shortly thereafter.
The span and vastness of the scene was hard to convey, but I attempted that in this picture as the sun lit up the cliffs and my drenched smile.
