The best thing about my job is that I never know what comes next.  What creative challenge is around the corner?

As I rounded this particular corner, I bumped into Nancy from Arizona.  She had a beautiful metal 36" round sculpture she purchased in Taos from the great Frank Seckler.

After they moved the artwork to this wall, it seemed to be just a bit too small.

The conundrum was that the wall was swallowing it up a bit.  In other words, the artwork just wasn't quite big enough.  She asked me if I had any ideas, so I got to work.

I came up with this concept:

We would accompany Seckler's circle with two squares. I created the art from scratch, aligning the work with similar shapes and colors. My idea was to also put these on metal (aluminum) so that when they were all displayed together, they'd be seamless.

I was pleased when they loved the idea, so we went ahead with it.

Later on, it was fun to open my email to read:

Subject: APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE!!
The pictures just arrived, we unpacked them (zero damage) and they are gorgeous!! We can't wait to get everything up on the walls.

Thanks again. You and your team do excellent work!!

I gave them direction on spacing and height.  (I also clarified that I am a one man show, but I couldn't do it without my awesome printing labs who are a part of my team.)

The real thing came out to be just like the mockup.

She must have been pleased because she also ordered MASTERFULLY.

The custom metal dazzled on the wall, so why not add even more?

I can't wait to see what's around the next corner.  Thanks Nancy and Bill!
