When you live in a place for years, things tend to blur into the background. That is until you decide to consciously make an effort to pause and closely analyze your surroundings. I did just that and processed a few photos of Sioux Falls. It's easy to take for granted the beautiful things that are right in front of you. This certainly gave me a renewed appreciation of the beauty of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Let's start at the most obvious place, Falls Park right here in our backyard in Sioux Falls.

I encourage you to stray from the cement paths inside Falls Park to get unique perspectives.
It seems as though you are standing in the middle of vast wilderness, even though you are actually surrounded by the city.
This next shot below was just dumb luck. I was standing there with my camera, ready to shoot the Minnehaha County Building, when all of a sudden I spotted the Sioux Falls Trolley coming down the road! Hurray for a unique and very fitting foreground!
The St. Joseph Cathedral in Sioux Falls is truly an iconic image of the city. My mission was to properly reveal it's overpowering height.

I hope you've enjoyed these images.  I encourage you to share these with other Sioux Falls residents and future tourists so we can all take a minute to think about and show off the great place in which we live!
