CLAIRVOYANCE: the supernatural power of seeing objects or actions removed in space or time from natural viewing.

The title for this seems to fit the bill.

When I came about this scene the first time last April (yes, April), I was astounded to see heaps of snow that had already piled on top of inches of ice we had just previously. It's one of the worst storms to hit our area, and naturally that means I grab my camera and explore. It didn't hurt that the power was out and I didn't have anything else to do. I was surprised that I had never found this location before even though it was less than a mile from my house.

I was excited to look at the images I gathered but I knew within minutes that the snow was so overbearing and the image was so "white" that I had to get creative.

Fast forward to October, and I found myself looking at the same scene during the fall. By the time that came around, I already knew my grand plan...to capture the reflection in the water which would reveal foliage from an entirely different season.

I have to say that the second time I visited the scene, the magic was lost a bit so even though the treeline of the reflection is real (it really is the treeline of the exact same scene), I had to embellish the colors a bit and adjust the perspective to allow more tree reflection to get to my vision.
