Gooseberry Falls is a must see.
A trip to the North Shores of Minnesota meant that Gooseberry Falls was on my list, and it did not disappoint. In fact, I visited it three separate times because I'd always find myself getting stuck in a captivating scene that prevented me from further exploring.
After various trips, I made almost every step of the winding trail along these beautiful cascading falls situation along the North Shore.
Even the very first path introduced the vibrant colors of fall to give a taste of what was beyond.
The misty rain made for a unique and ideal situation.
I noticed this mesmerizing twisted tree that entangled itself on the cliff's edge overlooking Gooseberry Falls.
I approached the falls to examine the intricate blocks of stone that created a cascading stairway.
The sun tried its best to break through the rainclouds and as I looked down I wanted to investigate this abstract scene.
Another tree lurches above and entangles the cliffside with its intrictate winding roots.
A calm waterfall descends as a fallen log balances around it.
Gooseberry Falls isn't just about the waterfalls--the trees and fall foliage that reside their are worth seeing!
As you make your way around the trail, a unique high perspective leads you to the falls and the bridge.
This subtle scene caught my attention as the colorful leaves extended toward each other with glistening raindrops.
Perhaps my favorite viewpoint, the water tumbles down in various tiers, and the rain keeps this peaceful scene all to myself.
As I walked toward my car in the rain, the wind began to strengthen and the colorful leaves poured out onto the ground, creating a cluster of color confetti.
If you are near Gooseberry Falls State Park in Minnesota, it's definitely worthwhile exploring, especially in the fall!
