I wish everyone was as much in love with black and white images as I am.  I'm sure a lot of photographers share this sentiment.

Don't get me wrong, by looking at my gallery, you'll understand I love color and vibrant scenes, but there's something incredibly sacred about a black and white photograph.

A car enthusiast can stare endlessly in appreciation of an engine.  A designer can obsess over the perfect font that conveys just the right style.  A photographer might gravitate toward a black and white.

Most don't care what the engine looks like, only that it gets them from point A to point B.  Most don't care about font as long as it can be read.  And, I've discovered over the years that most people don't prefer black and white over its color counterpart.

All that being said, I sincerely hope you might consider a black and white for your next artwork.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Who says a black and white can't be abstract?
The frosted landscape is accentuated in black and white.
The foggy drive has a haunting and intriguing feel to it.
The monochome makes you focus on all the lines in this image. At least that what my intention.
This is one of my personal favorites called BE. I remember this surreal scene like it was yesterday.
The detail in the Golden Gate really pops out and provides a timeless feel.
