In March, my wife and I embarked on our 10th Anniversamoon. I've trademarked that word so take note. For almost two years, we planned a trip to knock out the top of our bucket list. We wanted to do it right, so what's better than paradise? We soon discovered that the planning was worthwhile.
I hope you enjoy viewing these pictures of Bora Bora as much as I enjoyed taking them.
I wasn't sure if I was dreaming or not when this image was burned into my brain. Seeing the pictures assured me it really did happen.
Walking during the early hours in Bora Bora is unlike anything I've experienced before. The surreal sky, silky water, and smooth sandy beaches are hard to describe in words. My attempt instead is this picture on the beach looking at Mt. Otemanu.
The walk to our room over the water never lost its magic. The sun would rise and reveal even more things to marvel at.
What caught me off guard was the complete silence of this place. Many times, I'd look around and no souls were to be found.
I stood there waiting for the sun, admiring the amazing colors presented to me until a perfectly timed boat arrived to drop off the wonderful staff that worked at our resort. The boat came in every morning.
I couldn't help but always stare at this amazing tree, sitting on the cliffs of Mt. Otemanu.
I thought this sort of looked like a postcard as most scenes in Bora Bora do. It's quite inviting, isn't it?
I shuffled my feet to capture my wife marveling at the scene in front of her. Sometimes I would do the same...just stand there and take in the scenes of paradise.
The sun came over and created this brilliant flaring light over the pier.
Well, this is my very first star shot. It would have been a crime not to try in this place. I guess paradise is gourgeous in the middle of the night as well.
