Being as utterly obsessed with taking photos as I am can often be a curse.

Nearly every week, I have nightmares about epic scenes that I cannot capture because I don't have my camera, I'm out of batteries, or something is obstructing my view that I cannot get around.

But TODAY, at this moment, I had my camera when I needed it. There's really nothing "epic" about this particular scene, but it is one I wish to have in my memory forever. Fortunately with my unobstructed view and fully-functioning camera, I can and will cherish this scene, with my wife in it, forever.

Being a photographer has its rewards that last forever. Perhaps that's why I ignore the curse and anxiety of missing a great shot because I know it's only a matter of time before one shot will truly pay off.
