I am fascinated by seascapes.

If you've seen my seascape gallery, you can probably tell.

I was sort of late to the party when it came to viewing the beauty of the ocean.
I saw the ocean for the first time when I took a road trip to Florida.  I was 19 years old.

I would save the first-time-flying experience for age 20.

I remember it like yesterday.  I drove up over a hill and there it was.  It didn't even look real.  I wasn't expecting it which probably made it that much more dramatic.

Growing up in the midwest, I was used to seeing lakes where you can see the land on the other side.

There's something so surreal about seeing never-ending water on the horizon.
The ocean is just so vast.
Everything surrounding the ocean suddenly becomes more interesting.
It's amazingly relaxing.
It can make you feel like anything is possible.
I capture its essence to attempt to convey and relay what it feels like.

Since I was late to the party at the oceans, I'm doing everything I can to make up for lost time.
